This weekend is the July 4th weekend when Americans celebrate the founding of our nation based on the principles delineated in the Declaration of Independence of, "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness." Freedom has always been an essential value to Americans and it is widely debated about what it actually means. The assertion of these "unalienable rights" does not mean we will experience true freedom, which entails release from the ego’s trio of terror known as: sin, guilt, and fear.
