Old Business:

Rev. Heather's Job & Compensation: Rev. Tony has not had time to prepare job evaluation form yet. However he has talked with Rev. Heather and told her one is coming. She is open to the procedure. Discussion about changing her status from Private Contractor to Employee.

New Business:

Conference Update: Current enrollment is 493. Very good number. Should be solidly in the black with these numbers.
Motion: Conference pick up domestic, round trip, coach, air fare for the conference staff of 9 CMC ministers. Unanimous)

Classes: We need a new teacher for the Mon. night drop-in class. Rev. Vincent has a scheduling conflict. He would like to have the possibility of coming back when his scheduling conflict has gone.
Motion: Rev. Dusa Althea will teach Mon. night drop-in class at 7 p.m. and will give it back to Rev. Vincent when he wants it. Unanimous

ACIM-1 and ACIM-2 classes need to follow the published agreements. There shouldn’t be deviations from the agreements. There are no partial payments for classes. Teachers can negotiate a sliding fee schedule for students with $50 being the lowest allowed. All ACIM-2 students need to maintain active active Supporting Members at least until they are ordained as it states in Agreement #1.

Rev. Heather is going to do her Sun. TWOM class in a 35 week cycle just like she did her last one. A new session starts tonight. She is not going to follow Rev. Marci’s two year schedule as was previously voted on.

There was a discussion about taking longer to go through the Sun. TWOM class reading material. The possibility of a slower pace applies not only to the Sun. TWOM class, but also the two Wed. ACOL classes. It was also discussed that even ACIM classes could benefit from going through the material slower with more discussion. There was not a universal agreement about this. Decisions about the pace of classes still left up to the teacher who created the class to decide and then the CMC Board to approve. New classes with different paces are always possible. The Mon. night drop-in class has a slower pace and the Urtext class we had took 2 years to go through the Text.

Rev. Tony has student(s) from Australia now in his Monday 6:30 p.m. ACIM-1 class — it’s Tuesday midday in Australia when this class happens.

Sunday Service: Four year statistics about Sunday Service show steady growth.
2011 average service 11.4 people
2012 average service 12.0 people (0.6 increase)
2013 average service 13.0 people (1.0 increase)
2014 average service 14.7 people (1.7 increase)
Rev. Tony believes things need to be tighter with an increasing trend towards quality and professionalism. Miracle Shares need to be within guidelines. Rev. Tony asks that all “grumbling” about low attendance or the poor singing stop. It is counter productive and no longer true.

Discussion was held about the songs we sing. Possibly some songs should be eliminated. Each CMC Board Member who wants to, can go through song book and tell Rev. Tony which songs he/she believes should be removed because this Board member believes the songs are too hard to sing. These removals can be discussed at the Mar. meeting. Until that time Rev. Tony will not put the songs people object to in the Sun. singing rotation.

Rev. Tony’s Salary: Rev. Tony no longer believes it is appropriate that Rev. Heather gets paid more than he does. Current salary’s are: Rev. Tony $2,200 and Rev. Heather $2,500. Rev. Tony does get the use of the CMC's car which cost the CMC $1,462.91 in 2014. That is total for gas, maintenance, insurance, and license.
Motion: Rev. Tony’s salary be raised to $2,500 / month so that it is equal to Rev. Heather’s. Unanimous

CMC Board Meetings: Rev. Charles has a conflict with our 3rd Sun. schedule. If we change the meeting to the 4th Sun. it will also give Rev. Tony more time to prepare financial reports.
Motion: CMC Board Meetings will be changed to the 4th Sun. of the odd months. Unanimous

Conference Suggestions: Rev. Marci would like us to consider three things: a) having a meditation/lesson room at the conference Discussion: Is this throughout the entire conference or just in the morning? Do we have an extra room? We would have a place for early morning lesson practice. One of the current staff could do this. We don’t need an extra person. Need further information. b) having an Ordination at the conference Discussion: The idea was to do this at the conference Sunday Service. The Sunday Service is already too long. Would have to be very brief. Could be good publicity for our class/ministry program. Would it be appropriate? There are 2 who might be eligible: Crystal and Rachael c) giving a price break for staff significant others Discussion: This could be a problem because we can’t designate what constitutes a “significant other.” We can’t say that the person has to be a spouse or lover. Everybody would find a friend or a family member who would like to come at a greatly reduced price. We are not offering this to the Presenters. When we did many designated friends. Rev. Tony knows a Presenter who has $399 tickets and will pass this Presenters’ contact information on to Rev. Marci. This Presenter may be willing to sell these tickets for even less than $399.

Requirement That One Must Be Supporting Member When Ordained: A student of Rev. Marci’s ACIM-2 class has dropped his Supporting Membership. Rev. Tony reminded him of the class agreement which state you must remain a CMC Supporting Member throughout class and at least up until ordained. The student has told Rev. Tony he doesn’t want to be ordained. Since this is clearly in Agreement #1, and since the person no longer wants to be ordained, it is a moot point now. The requirement remains in place.

Rev. Rudy Suggests a Week Long Relationship Workshop in San Francisco on Christmas Week 2015: Rev. Rudy will make rooms available in his hotel at no charge to the CMC for this workshop. Workshop price could include room. Discussion about whether people want to travel on Christmas week. Rev. Tony is reluctant to take on any new projects at this time, as he is already overloaded with work. Plus Christmas week is already an extremely busy time for him. Rev. Marci volunteered to teach or co-teach. Class would just be half a day. The other half a day the people could play in San Francisco. Tabled for a future meeting.

Phone Etiquette Statement for Our Telephone Conference Call Classes: Discussion about a phone etiquette statement to be created which would be read before each telephone conference call class. Rev. Rudy will create this statement There was agreement that this is a good idea.

Meeting adjourned at 2:25 p.m.

Next Meeting, the 152nd, Scheduled Sun. Mar. 22, 2015 at 12:45 p.m. Pacific.

Respectfully Submitted Rev. Tony Ponticello Acting Secretary
