Net gain of 1 Supporting Member(s) and gain of $15 month pledged
Gained (1): Earl Wells
Lost (0):
Rev. Tony would like to brainstorm how to get new members. He asks for help from teachers and other key CMC people, especially those with access to students. Should this really be only Rev. Tony’s job?
Discussion: Rev. Vincent: Will ask his class members. He suggested that we post something on the Facebook page. Rev. Charles: Remind students that ACIM-2 does require students become Supporting Members. Rev. Peter: Rev. Tony should write up pitch presentation for ACIM teachers. Rev. Tony will do it.
Old Business:
Report on Video Camera and Project of Video Recording Sunday Services: Rev. Peter and Rev. Vincent met to figure out how the camera works, records, and uploads to a computer to edit. Establishing a link from video to web contribution form would be necessary. Rev. Judy will find out in her friend can help with the editing video.
Health Insurance Issue: Currently $909/month for Rev. Tony. Very high. Changing insurance provider would be no substantial change in cost, unless deductible is higher. The “Affordable Care Act” in 2014 may be a plus if Rev. Tony picks up single payer Kaiser plan and we drop the "Group Plan." Public copies of minutes from previous meetings have been going up on the web site. Currently 7 CMC Board meeting minutes are posted there. Rev. Tony suggests that CMC Board members take a brief look on the website to understand how we are doing this. See menu link on left at home page.

New Business:
Chicago Conference Report:
337 enrolled. Increased 52 from last meeting. Good number. Rev. Tony feels like we are at the break even point. We should be able to take a management fee at this point, although maybe not what we took for 2011 which was $42,600.00.
Discussion: At the next conference, if presenters are not promoting they could be dropped from presenting at the conference. CMC could offer an additional discount of $50 if people register through CMC.  Our promotional credit compensation would make up for this. Rev. Tony might find a CMC Supporting Member to also kick in $50 more. Chicago and local Midwest presenters are not promoting effectively. For the future, if low preforming presenters sign up to present, they might have to buy a block of tickets (~10) tickets.
Motion: The CMC will give a $50.00 reduction for anyone who signs up for the conference through special promotion that Rev. Tony will design from now until Dec. 31st. Unanimous
Daytime ACIM-1 Class:
Rev. Judy will do the class on Tue. morning from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. to start on Jan. 1, 2013.
Rev. Rudy's teaching an ACIM class for Wednesday evening tabled.
Bart Bacon Resigns From The CMC Board.
New Board Member: Rev, Tony proposed asking (name withheld) to join the CMC Board. This person has been very supportive with the CMC conferences, and is a Supporting Member.
Motion made to invite (name withheld) to CMC Board. Unanimous.
Discussion About The Future Of The CMC:
Rev. Tony stressed we are a global ministry. Rev. Vincent Fuqua will help us become members with other faith groups. Discussion about whether the CMC should stress being a church or not. Perhaps it is a negative for some people. It was pointed out that many people study with the CMC to become legally ordained ACIM Ministers. We need to be both a church and a spiritual teaching center for ACIM.
Rev. Rudy would like to make the CMC more aesthetically appealing. He thinks we should repaint the CMC white. He will provide a plan to the CMC board for more significant changes to the CMC.
Motion: Rev. Rudy will make some immediate aesthetic changes to the CMC including painting the CMC white, removal of shelving in the back, new white tables and tablecloths. He will fund these changes. Unanimous.

Meeting was adjourned at 2:15 p.m.
The next meeting will be on Jan. 20, 2013
Respectfully submitted, Rev. Peter Graham / Secretary
