Proposed amendment to CMC Bylaws about CMC Board Member

Board meeting attendance requirement.

Rev. Tony summarized Bart's suggestions about amendment. Board thought something simpler would be better. This amendment will be voted on at the next regular Board meeting.

Amendment: Addition to Article 2, Section 6. Regular Meetings

Directors can not miss three, consecutive, regular meetings of the Board. After the second meeting missed, the Director will be informed by the Secretary that he/she must attend the next regular meeting or be automatically removed from the Board. It is possible that there may be an extenuating circumstance that prevents the Director from attending this next meeting. The Board will decide if this circumstance extends the Directors service on the Board until the next regular Board meeting.

CMC Classes Ongoing:

The two ACIM-1 classes and the Monday night drop-in class continue. ACIM-2 continues.

Status of Charles Mawson's Study Group. The group held at the Unity Center of New Hope has stopped because of lack of attendance. Charles is looking into having a study group at a local metaphysical bookstore. That might start in the autumn.

Music At CMC:

Bart has received music list and will be sending suggestions for new songs. Nothing new to report. Rev. Rudy plays and sings occasionally, when he is in attendance.

Advertising and Publicity:

Rev. Rita & Rev. Vincent have not been able to meet. Rev. Rita reports that it looks like energy for publicity is channelized towards 2013 Chicago conference and not on publicity. Rev. Tony says he feels general publicity is a good idea. Just because he has no time to focus on general publicity does not mean it wouldn't be a good thing.

Legacy Society:

Rev. Tony has put up Legacy Society page on CMC Web Site. (completed)

New Business:

Rev. Tony's salary was discussed. Currently gets $1000/month. CMC pays medical insurance $684/month. CMC pays for company car Rev. Tony has access to. Rev. Tony received $2000 per month for many  years. In response to financial challenges his salary was reduced to $1500 in Sep. 2007. It held there all throughout 2008. In July of 2009 it dropped to $500 and in Nov. and Dec. of 2009 it went to $0. In Jan. of 2010 it was reinstated at $1000 per month and has been that way since. Much discussion. Discussion tabled till next meeting in Sep. By then there will be 2nd qtr. 2011 financial statement and 2013 conference enrollment numbers so more financial data will be available.

Next Board Meeting:

Sun. Sep. 11, 2011 -- 12:30 p.m. @ CMC
